'BRIDGERTON' FANS, THE NEW 'QUEEN CHARLOTTE' TRAILER IS BREATHTAKING

Ladies and gentlemen, presenting The Queen. The Bridgerton phenomenon is returning to Netflix, but this time we're turning back the hands of time.

This spring, as royals and peasants alike await the sophomore season of Bridgerton, fans will get a front row seat to the origin story of one of the Regency-era series' most beloved characters: Queen Charlotte. The scheming, love-obsessed character is played by Golda Rosheuvel, and is loosely based on the real-life wife of King George III.

The upcoming prequel will center on the teenage years of Queen Charlotte and other familiar socialite characters like Lady Danbury and the Bridgerton matriarch Violet. Although, season 2 of Bridgerton gave fans a quick glimpse into the mysterious love story of Queen Charlotte, the prequel whisks us back to the very start of their romance as the monarch ascends the throne and changes the Bridgerton kingdom as she knows it.

So, without further ado, here are all the royal notes (that we may or may not have obtained from Lady Whistledown herself) about Netflix's upcoming Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.
